We are celebrating the inscription of Congolese Rumba to the UNESCO official list of intangible heritage with an amazing panel who will make you (re)discover this music genre which conquered Africa’s heart.

Alan Brain is an award-winning film & television editor and documentary director.
Prestigious festivals such as DOC NYC, the Sydney Film Festival and the Brussels International Film Festival have featured Alan’s work.
In 2021, Alan directed his first feature-length documentary film, The Rumba Kings, receiving international accolade. The film won several awards internationally (Cannes, Melbourne, London) including the most recent one at the Doc N Roll Film Festival in London.
Lubangi Muniania is an African Art Historian, specialized in the visual and performing arts of Africa. He has contributed to the award-winning documentary The Rumba Kings.
He has worked as a Director of Education at the Museum for African Art in New York, African Art Education consultant for the Art Institute of Chicago, Saint Louis Museum of Arts, other museums, festivals, and cultural centers.
Currently, he is the president of Tabilulu Productions and has also produced documentaries and educational events for Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, City College of New York, United Nations, Africa-America Institute, Session at West 54 for Sony, Africa One for AT&T, African Portrait for NBC, Memories of Lumumba for the Museum for African Art, radio programs and a documentary on Democratic Republic of Congo for Bill Moyers Journal at PBS.
We are absolutely excited to have a wonderful Crispy Talk-Show and celebrate African music with Lubangi and Alan.
