Mmofra : 100% African produced children's program on Amazon Prime

Mmofra is the first African independently produced children’s content which was ever distributed on a global platform such as Amazon Prime.

Imagined, designed and animated by AnimaxFYB studios, a team of proud Africans from Ghana, Mmofra means ‘children’ in Akan.  It was born thanks to the genius of Francis Y. Brown, its Creative Director and multi award-winning filmmaker whose ambition is to produce content which “shows people of African heritage globally that we have what it takes to deliver our stories to the world.”

The animation program is dedicated to children aged 4 to 13 years old but is also suitable for pre-schoolers. Mmofra channel produces educational content which will teach our children how to read, count and engage in topics appropriate to their age range.

We have been amongst the lucky ones who already watched the program and highly recommend you to also check it out on Amazon Prime. It will also stream on other platforms as the project grows so it is the best time to support it ! Please watch the teaser video here !

AnimaxFYB also has many other interesting animation contents which you can watch on their YouTube channel. We would recommend Agorkoli, one of their award-winning projects, which covers the migration of the Ewes to Ghana and Tutu : The Untold Story of a Kingdom, which covers 17th century Ashanti empire.
