The Book Corner #6 : Robin Walker
Today, our new book in the corner is : When We Ruled by Robin Walker.
We love this one because it is an extensive and incredibly well documented source of information about ‘pre-colonial’ Africa ! Yes that’s right, our history did not start in 1492 or thereabouts… 😉
Robin Walker is an historian and author of Jamaican heritage who researched and wrote extensively on African history. Based in London, he also gives African history courses if you want to go in depth and learn with him. Be ready because he doesn’t play and make sure you can take notes quickly !
Having attended some of his lectures, we can tell you that you never leave with empty hands, so this book is worth it. 🙌🏿
